Efrem Raimondi was born in Legnano, Milan on 16 August 1958 and has been taking photographs since 1983. His work has been published in numerous magazines, including: Stern, GQ (Italy and the U.S.), PM, Rolling Stone (Italy), Vanity Fair (Italy), Playboy and Nova. He has collaborated with many companies, including: Cassina, Prada, Trussardi, EMI Records, Dainese and IBM. His work has been shown in individual and group exhibitions in several museums and art galleries, including: Galleria il Diaframma, La Triennale di Milano, and the Accademia Carrara Galleria d’Arte Moderna e Contemporanea, Museo d’Arte Contemporanea Pecci. His primary interest is portraiture, but he also explores other paths. A prominent and unique figure in the Italian panorama, he believes in the centrality and independence of artistic language. He is a member of the Hasselblad Master Jury since 2009.
