“Waiting for Capital Punishment” by Sadegh Souri, published on D la Repubblica, tells us about young Iranian girls that made a mistake, and to whom is not granted redemption. Indeed, according to Iranian law, the age when girls are held accountable for criminal punishment is nine years old. It is fifteen for boys. This applies to all crimes and all penalties, even to death penalty. While international conventions have banned death penalty for people under 18.
