LUZ works with Italian and international brands in order to tell stories with a significant social impact, and to achieve concrete and measurable objectives
Together with Too Good To Go, we joined the fight against food waste by telling the stories of the Waste Warriors: shopkeepers and users who, through the app, are able to recover and sell – at reduced prices – unsold food which is ”too good to be thrown away” thanks to the “Magic Boxes” that contain a surprise selection of products and fresh dishes left unsold at the end of the day.
We decided to recount the realities scattered around Italy, showing both their desire to restart after the pandemic, but also their ability to not lose sight of the great mission of saving the planet with concrete actions.

The territory of Langhe, Monferrato and Roero launches the most original live streaming event in the world, online on the Facebook page @visitLMR: 5 days of the food, history and traditions of one of the most beloved places in Italy.
In response to one of the most difficult challenges facing tourism today, the Tourist Board of Langhe Monferrato Roero responded by finding a way to share their territory live to tourists around the world, as well as enthusiasts of Piedmont’s excellent food, wine and architecture.
Langhe Monferrato Roero is a place of tranquility and stillness, characterized by a slow and relaxing style of life. During the live event “LMR On Air” we launched a series of games in the different territories, without ever losing the sense of serenity and quality that defines them. 5 days of life broadcasting, 1 race per day.
The locals participated as athletes in the games, representing those who live and work there everyday and keep LMR running.
The games went live on the Facebook page of the Tourism Board of Langhe Monferrato Roero, and participants were able to share videos and photos from the games on social media as well.

With Actionaid we brought attention to stories about activists who have never stopped, not even during the lockdown caused by COVID-19.
We choose 3 young activists to share their stories in 3 different interviews.
The protagonists’ shared their personal experiences about how they helped people in need during the virus crisis; we talked about their willingness to actively participate in debates about social issues; about feminism and about the defense of women’s rights.
The interviews were illustrated by photos from the LUZ archive and we’re published on Sapiens Magazine and on ActionAid’s digital channels.
On June 25 2019, Mark Zuckerberg’s right-hand, Sheryl Sandberg, held a conference in Italy for the first time. For the occasion, LUZ for Facebook met the leaders of 10 important Facebook communities who started popular and relevant social groups. We told their story through authorial photographs that were shown in an exhibition in the Facebook centre in Rome, Binario F.

On 12 May 2019, on the occasion of Mother’s Day, LUZ publishes on its social magazine Sapiens a film that reflects on our time, and on how it has changed with technology. Samsung joins LUZ to pass an important message: the improvement of our lives passes through the improvement of the quality of time that we spend with the people who make us happy. In occasion of the launch of DUMBO live action movie in March of 2019, LUZ and Walt Disney Studios Italia produced original illustrations in collaboration with five artists in order to promote the movie coming out. During the Italian DUMBO premiere, the audience admired the displayed illustrations and enjoyed a live performance with one of the artists while he painted a wall with Dumbo themed doodles.

“Quando ho incontrato te” is the video clip of the song by the Italian artist Cosmo, powered by Samsung Galaxy S9+. In this video, Cosmo’s trusted director and LUZ’ Author Jacopo Farina, has filmed part of the video clip with Samsung Galaxy S9+. As a result, the Smartphone is a technical director’s resource and is integral part of the narrative. The music video plays on the contrast between dream and reality: both plans continuously merge.
